American Cancer Society Relay for Life

This 24-hour life-changing event helps fight cancer and honor those whose lives have been touched by the disease. Teams, individuals and survivors walk all night to symbolize the fact that cancer never sleeps. The funds they raise help contribute to research for a cure.

SCHEDULE

The Relay For Life will start with a Survivor’s Lap Ceremony to celebrate the victories achieved over cancer.

A Remember Ceremony will be held after dark to honor and remember those touched by cancer. Luminaria bags will be filled with sand and a candle will be lit and placed inside, each one bearing the name of someone who has lost their battle to this devastating disease.

The Fight Back Ceremony is probably one of the most important moments of the entire event because everyone makes a personal commitment to help find a cure. This is where all pledge to take steps to help continue the fight against the disease that keeps on taking.
