The Quakes would take the 2-1 lead in the bottom of the third after back-to-back RBI doubles by Ramirez and Darnell Sweeney.

But Lake Elsinore would respond with an RBI triple by B.J. Guinn, scoring Duanel Jones and then an RBI single by Travis Jankowsi, scoring Guinn, taking the lead back from the Quakes, 3-2.

The Storm would add on a run in each of the sixth and eighth innings, setting the stage for Rancho’s five-run eighth outburst and ultimately the Quakes victory.
