Storm Baseball On A Winning Streak Going Into Thursday's Game

The Storm are on track after taking their first series of the year in two out of three games against the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes.

Heading into tonight's game against Visalia Rawhide, the Lake Elsinore Storm will see if they can continue their win streak on the road.

After losing the series opener on Monday, 9-5, the Storm marched back against the Quakes with a 10-1 victory on Tuesday, and a close 5-4 win on Wednesday.

Storm catcher Austin Hedges went 2-4 and scored two runs in Wednesday night's conquest. Travis Jankowski had a triple and also scored while Lee Orr’s double scored two runs for Lake Elsinore. Designated hitter Duanel Jones went 3-3 and scored. Frank Garces picked up his second win of the season

First baseman Orr went 4-5, scored two runs and had two RBIs in Tuesday’s slaughter over the Quakes. Hedges went 2-3 and connected for his first home run of the season. Jones was 2-5 with two RBIs in the contest. Matthew Wisler threw five strong innings gave up the only Quake run and earned his first victory of the year. Ted Lilly on rehab from the Dodgers got the loss.

The Storm's four-game series that begins tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate will be followed with a return to The Diamond on Tuesday, April 23, when the home team faces off against the Lancaster Jethawks.
