Lake Elsinore Storm Shuts Out Lancaster In Game One Of Playoffs

Storm right-hander Chris Fetter (0-2) will head to the mound tonight against Nick Tropeano (6-3) for game two of the three-game series in the South Division playoffs. The two teams are set to begin at 7 p.m. at the Hanger in Lancaster.

In the first game of the the Lake Elsinore Storm walked away with a shutout victory at home against the Lancaster JetHawks Wednesday night.

The 1-0 win was helped along with an outstanding pitching performance by starter Matt Andriese, who was the only pitcher to collect 10 wins this season solely in a Storm uniform. He came out and pitched eight innings of three-hit baseball, his longest outing of the season. He went back-to-back outings where he collected eight strikeouts setting up nicely for closer Jerry Sullivan.
