Regular Season Football Wraps Up In LEUSD

Prep football Sunbelt League play wrapped up Friday, with Temescal Canyon and Lakeside done for the season.

Now it will be up to Coach Tony Peralta’s Elsinore Tigers.

The Temescal Canyon Titans finished the season with a 31-6 win over Perris, and the Lakeside Lancers lost to Paloma Valley, 42-6.

EHS finished at home Friday against Sunbelt League-leader Heritage, losing 37-14. With the loss, the Tigers took third place in the league.  

This Friday, Peralta's squad travels to Palm Desert High School to take on the 5-5 Aztecs for first-round CIF-Southern Section Central Division action. If Elsinore plays up to standard, the Tigers should come home with a win.

Heritage 5-0, 9-1

Paloma Valley 4-1, 9-1

Elsinore 3-2, 5-5

Temescal Canyon 2-3, 4-6

Lakeside 1-4, 2-8

Perris 0-5, 0-10

 

Agape (8-Man) League Final Standings:

Lucerne Valley 4-0, 10-0

Upland Christian Academy 3-1, 6-4

California Lutheran 2-2, 3-7

Victor Valley Christian 1-3, 2-6

Antelope Valley Christian 0-4, 1-6-1

California Lutheran lost last Friday versus Noli Indian (San Jacinto), 60-46, in the first round of CIF playoffs.  

 

Majestic (8-Man) League Final Standings: 

Desert Chapel 4-0, 9-0

Crossroads Christian 3-1, 4-6

Calvary Baptist 2-2, 3-6

Palm Valley 1-3, 1-7

Cornerstone Christian 0-4, 0-8
