Titans, Lancers, C-Hawks Still In CIF Contention

A roundup of this week's CIF match-ups.

Lake Elsinore and Wildomar high schools are taking it to the next level in soccer, basketball and water polo. Here’s a look at the schedule for local teams still standing in CIF playoffs:

Girls Soccer

In second-round competition, the Division 5 Temescal Canyon Titans travel to Cabrillo High School in Lompoc to take on the Conquistadores Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.

Boys Soccer

Lakeside High School’s boys soccer team captured the Sunbelt League title this season and is on its way to pursuing the championship. In a first-round game against Granite Hills, the Division 5 Lancers dominated with a 4-1 win. They now advance to a second-round match-up at Baldwin Park on Feb. 23 at 3 p.m.

Girls Basketball

In quarterfinals competition, the Temescal Canyon Titans host La Puente Bishop on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.

The Wildomar Cal Lutheran C-Hawks host Arcadia Rio Hondo Prep on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in quarterfinals competition.

Girls Water Polo 

In semifinals competition, Division 5 Temescal Canyon Titans take on Crescenta Valley Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. at Mt. San Antonio College.
