Week Ahead In Lake Elsinore, Wildomar: Career Opportunity, Truck Races, Parent Summit

A highlight of the events in Lake Elsinore and Wildomar, Oct. 21-27.

Students ages 14 to 18 years old with a 2.5 GPA or better are candidates for the Elsinore Valley Fire Explorer Post. Students must live in the area between Temescal Valley and Wildomar in the Elsinore Valley to qualify. Trucks, buggies and karts will be stirring up dirt at the Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park for the Lucas Oil Off-Road National Races for a three-day event, Oct. 25-27. Click here for more information.

The Lake Elsinore Unified School District will hold its annual Parent Summit at the Ortega High School campus multi-purpose room on Oct. 26 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. The event is for parents of LEUSD students and preschoolers. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will hold its prescription drug “Take-Back” day Oct. 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The program allows members of the public to drop off potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction at many sheriff’s stations throughout Riverside County, including the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station.
