Why is Wildomar Looking to Spend More

All goverments need to feed the pig and that includes local ones that is smaller than a eye lash.

I keep reading that Wildomar is short on money and here we
go looking to spend a lot on new employees. Read it in the link.

Ultimately, if all the available positions were filled, the city would have up to 16 full-time employees by June 30, 2015, according to a recently endorsed list of authorized positions.

Escuse me but who endorsed the list. 
I dont rember endorsing any
 lists.

The assistant city manager’s position starts at $142,391 per year, while the administrative aide pay begins at $24,585, according to the city’s salary schedule. The annual salary for an accounting manager starts at $71,917.

Those is some pretty fine numbers there. am I still in Wildomar.  

Can I ask a question of the city. can we buy some more police with
 the new money you found to. 
if not more police how about rehabing the roads.

These are questions that should be directed to the council members themselves. I don't believe they have officially declared whether they will run for re-election.

If you became Assistant City Manager how much salary would you expect to be paid, plus benefits? What are Lake Elsinore, Murrieta and Temecula paying? Administrative Aids usually run most of the daily business, think they should be paid higher? Try living on $24,585 a year in Wildomar if in a single income home. Lets get some hard facts in here & not just opinions which can become tedious after a while.

Lillyann587 - I agree that opinions should be supported by facts. The city of Wildomar created and adopted an extensive list of job descriptions with titles, salary ranges, educational and experience requirements etc. It may not include the costs of the various benefits and reimbursable expenses or "perks", but you are certainly right that those costs should be given consideration. __________________________________________________________ In my opinion the list was developed with an overly optimistic outlook on the economy and reflects salary ranges which Wildomar cannot afford. When discussing affordability or making comparisons with what other cities are paying, some consideration needs to be given to the facts that these other cities are bigger and have been established for a longer time. It is also true that salaries in the private sector have been frozen or at least recalculated downward as a result of the recession or depression that followed the bursting of the economic bubble. __________________________________________________________ The city clerk can provide you with a copy of the list or a link to it on the city's website.

Lillyanna, I sorry, but the assistent city manager dont need to get paid tripel what the average person makes or double the average house hold income here. administrative aid is nothing more than a glorafied girl friday. they already has several full timers doing the job you discribed.
