I am unable to get past the first line with out tears running down my face. George wasn't only myRead More neighbor in wildomar. Silvia and him ALWAYS had there door open to me. I used to get home from school and go straight to there house to listen to them talk, as they sat on there back patio. And when I would win medials at a gymnastics meet. I would run them over there and give them some. They always had a way to make my mother and I feel like family. Christmas cards and present. Hugs and kisses ... It took a village to raise this one girl. And they where such a big part of that. When Sylvia passed away I remember George hurting, big George and little George I remember little George hugging me. And even though I didn't really know I felt such a tight family bond. I now live in Washington state and my heart breaks while I try to sallow the reality that I can not be there for his services . But I do get some comfort knowing that he is with Silvia again. I also know my grandma is happy to see her friend. Sending so much love prayers Rosa Allison

Life is indeed fragile. It's a gift, one that should be savored and enjoyed, lived to it's fullest,Read More every single minute of every single day. None of us know when our time here will end; the only thing we are guaranteed is right here, right now, so grab hold of that and enjoy this moment. And tell those that you care about that you love them today, not tomorrow. God speed, Shaun.

@bd, Ill take your word for it. I've never been on that road on a bike. I was using google mapsRead More when I made the comment. Looked pretty good from the map. At least the area where the accident occurred.
Bd April 28, 2014 at 10:05 pm
ChrisG, it's not really bad there, other than speed of the cars. Unfortunately the cyclist made theRead More mistake of crossing where there was no intersection, let alone a crosswalk. And there are lots of plants in the median that hindered the driver from seeing him. Very unfortunate.
Brenda May 20, 2014 at 12:43 am
Anyone walking or riding a bike and trying to jaywalk through a median is going to be a target.Read More Then have it be where traffic is very heavy, going at least the 45 speed limit, going in many different directions with 2, 3 big intersections and freeway on and off ramps. All in that little area, and then add the bike lanes its hard enough to keep track of everyone. Take a bike rider coming out of the center divider and yep, he is unfortunately going to get hit :/ Very sad and I wish he had thought about it before he did it. I hate the street 1/2 mile on either side of the freeway, 15 that is. Its a nightmare with everyone c hanging lanes to get into the shopping centers on one side, the food places and gas on the other side and then the different lanes for the freeways or going east and west. All spells trouble and there is usually a fender bender pulled over in there somewhere. As usual bad designs when they decided to develop out here before they thought about the freeway and street infrastructures.

As a baseball fan, I knew of Kiner's feats. He lead the league in HRs seven years in a row. I thinkRead More I heard a few broadcasts of his when I was in my early teens... I think it was him that was doing the NLCS when it was the Dodgers and Phillies (I recorded it on tape... I bet that thing doesn't work anymore). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Still, as nice as it is to see this story... it's been on the front page of the Patch for two days now and it isn't even a local story. Safe to say that whatever reach Patch had as a local news source has seen better days... and that's no slight at Renee Schiavone. I imagine she's just playing the cards that were dealt to her.
Jeff Kleiner February 7, 2014 at 10:51 am
Ralph Kiner was also a great broadcaster. I enjoyed his voice many times. Any athlete leading theRead More league in Home runs for seven years is very impressive and dominate......Ralph will be missed all over baseball.

One good cop should of been able to spot this fresh grave 45 feet from the house. Why would thisRead More take so long to solve?
Jen Young Barlow July 12, 2013 at 01:49 pm
How on EARTH did the police, volunteers, search dogs, not find a body 40 feet from the house? thatRead More seems odd to me right. how did search dogs and people not walk past it or look in the backyard? Do they not start the perimeter search at the property? And all reports say the body wasn't fully covered up and shallow, common! that is unreal how they didn't search the own backyard!!! :( pathetic I think right?
Marjorie Marrale July 12, 2013 at 02:29 pm
22 agencies including the FBI, lots of volunteers, this is crazy, don't the cops usually start withRead More a good look at the family? Even if the cops weren't allowed on property w/o search warrant, (red flag), the local cops should of been sharper. No wonder the state's broke. People are most often killed by people they know.
