Do you idiots even read the story or watch the video? ALL of the information is right at yourRead More fingertips and you STILL manage to be uninformed. You people have ZERO leverage to mock the parent in this story. Truly incredible

Carl Virden April 16, 2014 at 08:54 am
Crystal, I don't mean to be judgmental but you are a perfect example of why a woman should never beRead More president. You are uninformed, have a bleeding heart for criminals, and obviously don't care about the need to abide by the laws of the land. Oh, wait! Maybe you could be president.

Exactly Joseph...lovin T-street!
Lori April 16, 2014 at 08:51 am
Andy, his mother and Joe walked past me getting out of my car as I got home that day. Joe keptRead More telling Andy "don't say anything Andy" as they walked by. My daughter heard Andy yelling as they were coming up the street, so she went out on the porch to make sure I was ok as I got out of the car. They walked past me and shortly afterwards the police were at their house. My kids went to school with their kids, and growing up the kids were good kids. Their father had mental issues and had been removed from the house. After the kids were out of school some had alcohol and drug problems. Then it seemed the slow decline with substance abuse and mental issues. For all the "trouble" that the kids were having, it doesn't appear they were getting any help with mental problems. And the mothers condition went the same way as her kids. Yes, they live in The Groves, but where they live has nothing to do with the way they have turned out. Mental illness has been with this family for some time. It's a shame they weren't helped early on-their lives might have turned out for the better. I don't think Andy will get any help where he will probably be for the next 20 years. And for the record, substance abuse and mental illness happens in EVERY city, no matter the education or income. Lake Elsinore-The Groves included, is still a nice place to live.
turnitaround April 16, 2014 at 09:16 am
Agreed, people with mental issues need help. The solution is not to keep them on the street though,Read More endangering citizens. This was a matter of time case clearly. This discussion needs to continue, we need a solution but the answer is not to leave them on the streets, the results is this.

Girls socks? Parts of the anatomy is one thing, but for crying out loud....stinky old socks? YouRead More could probably saturate the socks with goat cheese and sell the pair to the guy for a tidy sum of money. That's one way to sock-it-to-him!!! :-)

@Thresher 200 you make me sick!
Justice For All April 16, 2014 at 04:21 am
This guy is demonstrating a psychological pattern of a much deeper paraphilia. From a criminalRead More standpoint, he is a pedophile, pure and simple. To rationalize his deviate behavior as some innocently misguided adult fetish is simply wrong. There is absolutely no comparison. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He crossed a significant line when he engaged in contacting children. To comfortably contact children like he has, takes a level of courage that is only manifested after someone sinks to a significant depravity. It is actually a type of milestone in a psychosis, if you will. If you think that this is just about dirty socks, then you simply can't grasp the dark truth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have no doubt that this is just the tip of the iceberg. I can reasonably suspect that there are many more victims who have yet to be identified, whether they are local kids or members of this guy's own family. I have no doubt that other people who know this 31 year old man are probably not surprised that this happened, although pedophiles tend to be adept at concealing their behavior. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't want to second-guess the investigator handling this case, but given the information just from local news sources it seems that a bail enhancement was justified. Perhaps $50-75k bail instead of a mere $5k. A similar case in Northridge set the pervert's bail at $150,000, albeit there was an allegation of false imprisonment: http://articles.latimes.com/2014/feb/26/local/la-me-foot-fetish-arrest-20140227 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BTW: What's going on with this guys face? Does he look like he has plucked eyebrows and lipstick? Very weird, to say the least.

How broke are we you ask? Well we are 17trillion $ broke. Is that a lot of money? Well lets see. AllRead More single family homes combined in this country are worth about 16Trillion $. Chicago man should be a dead Chicago man-but we will put him in prison with all his buddies!
Chris Stacy April 16, 2014 at 07:17 am
He did not have a "submachine gun", he had an ordinary pistol. (One way you can tell isRead More that there was no mention of an additional federal charge for illegally possessing one. Another way would be to Google Intertec 22, assuming you understand that a machine gun fires more than one round when you pull the trigger, and this one obviously does not.) This is just the media trying to hype up the story by inventing a machine gun where there was none. Isn't it a good enough story that some felon went nutcase with an illegally possessed stolen pistol?

Hey John Rithouse, if you don't like it, then don't come here for news. Guys like you make this sameRead More annoying comment every day. Are you mentally slow?
rubberband April 15, 2014 at 10:28 am
This was out in my neck of the woods. All really great kids, college bound and starting their adultRead More lives. Having lost a child, I can say these families will mourn for as long as they live, and will have to find a "new normal" as EVERYTHING is changed for them now...I wish them strength, there is nothing quite like burying a child. Appreciated are the messages of respect and sympathy. It can be annoying to get news from areas other than your own, however the new Patch is doing things differently, and show no evidence of changing it back.....my best advice would be to ignore stories not in your area, and to write your editor directly, and share your comments with those who can make changes.

Saw the trucks and also counted 7 police cruisers rocketing by at approx. 100 mph on LakeshoreRead More (speed limit 45 mph) Drive.
KMA April 14, 2014 at 03:29 pm
I doubt if there were 7 cruisers on duty- much less rocketing by, especially that time of night.Read More Most departments might have 5 on shift for the whole watch- and that would be the end of mid watch, so most would be heading back to the barn. And unless you were going 100, how would you know?
Pauly April 15, 2014 at 09:08 am
You can doubt anything you want KMA, Im telling you I saw and counted 7 police cruisers blasting byRead More my house just past midnight on Lakeshore drive at approx. 90 to 100 mph . The reason I know they were going that fast is because I am approx. 75 feet away from LakeshoreDR. and its not the first time this has happened.

Kathleen I don't get the Massachusetts reference, having said that I think your about right.

Kathleen, your right. As for housing, the less number of homeless, the more grant money the city andRead More state receives for housing. It happens all the time in Pennsylvania. Free loaders like the crackheads mentioned in the story is why people who have legimate disabilities are judged as liars and have to fight for their rights.

It says Around Town but the headline is UTAH. Utah is not near Natick!! I think everyone should notRead More open an article on Patch unless they see their town's name in the headline. So If it doesn't say Natick, then we all know it is not LOCAL to the Natick Patch. The less clicks these Patch sites get, the fewer advertisers they will get and then perhaps they will realize if we want sensational news from across the country we'd go back to Patch's former owners AOL and the HuffPost! Those here from other Patch sites - I think you should do the same only click on articles that mention your community's name. No name. No click!

John the reports stated the vehicle was on fire. This was before the crash. Maybe the driver saw hisRead More tractor on fire and had a massive heart attack? Who knows.
John Chrusciel April 14, 2014 at 11:21 am
Decaturette back in the days before collapsible steering shafts it was a bad idea to wear a seatbeltRead More because during a head on collision the steering shaft would act as a spear and run you through. I never wore a seat belt my old MGA or TR3. However, this is no longer a problem because of modern design and engineering. Some people will hem and haw about being t-boned at an intersection and the harm that a three point harness can do. I personally know many people who have had their lives saved by seat belts. I always wear mine. They should afford children the same opportunity to protect themselves. A 25 mile per hour head on collision with another vehicle travelling at 25 miles per hour is like a 50 mile per hour collision. So I do not buy the argument about shorter distances nor do I buy the article about lower driving speeds. What can is cost to have simple lap belts installed in a school bus? Are we that greedy?
Becky April 14, 2014 at 01:03 pm
I think the real reason they don't install them is that it would raise a whole other level ofRead More liability -- like that then they would have to keep the seatbelts in good working order, and maybe enforce that people wear them. Could I sue them because another passenger flew out of their seat and hit me. Etc, etc.

Igor April 15, 2014 at 04:33 pm
