UPDATED: Another Major Incident Stalls Northbound 15 Freeway Traffic

The following story was written by Mirna Alfonso and was updated at 5:35 p.m. June 20, 2013 to include additional details.

A collision involving a motorcycle and a sedan was one of three crashes that occurred just before rush hour on the northbound 15 Freeway outside Temecula, bringing traffic to a crawl.

Three vehicle crashes Thursday just before the Border Patrol checkpoint south of Temecula stalled rush hour traffic on the northbound 15 Freeway.

The motorcycle crash was reported just south of the Border Patrol Checkpoint outside Temecula at 4:29 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reported that the motorbike and its rider were down in the far right lane and there was debris scattered in the road as well.

Following quickly on the heels of that crash, two other crashes -- involving up to four vehicles -- occurred in a far left and a middle lane, the CHP reported.
An advisory was issued for traffic moving at about 4 mph, the CHP reported; only a far right lane remained open at the Border checkpoint, the CHP reported.

All vehicles involved in the crashes were moved to the center divider but traffic by 5:04 p.m. was still moving at about 4 mph, the CHP reported.

The motorbike was towed, according to the CHP.
