Boats On Display This Weekend In Lake Elsinore During Inaugural 'Demo Days'

The waters of Lake Elsinore will be busy this weekend as the inaugural Boating Demo Days takes place May 18-19 at La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch.

According to event organizers, more than 50 different brands of new and pre-owned boats will be on display, including family runabouts, pontoons, fishing boats, wakeboard/ski boats, deckboats, cruisers, PWCs and high performance sportboats on-land and in-water for demos.

“There’s nothing as good as a test ride to know that you’ve made the right choice in a new boat, and Lake Elsinore’s new La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch is the perfect place to do it," said event organizer Bob Brown. "Besides boats in-water for demos, there will also be a generous assortment of boats, new and used, on land in addition to a host of popular marine accessory and services vendors. Whether you’re a boater now or hope to be one in the future, Boating Demo Days is exactly the right environment and opportunity to find out more about the sport and perhaps make that purchase you’ve always wanted.”

A show highlight will be the debut and demonstration of several recent models of the “Water Car,” a Southern California-designed and manufactured amphibious vehicle capable of speeds of as much as 50 mph on water and more than 100 mph on the highway, according to organizers.

SHOW HOURS: Saturday, May 18 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 19 – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CONCESSIONS: Food, beverages and beer garden on-site. No off-site alcoholic beverages allowed. Dogs on leash are okay.

ADMISSION: $5 for adults, $3 kids 6 to 10; children 5 years and younger are free.

PARKING: $5 on-site parking per vehicle.
