This past Saturday (note it was not done on or for Memorial Day), the City of Wildomar partnered with The Rotary Club and sponsored a community building event. The event was put on by The Rotary Club, not The City. It is very clear at the Rotary Club’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/RotaryClubWildomar.
The BBQ was well marketed and well attended. It appears that concerned citizens feel their tax dollars were wasted and the event was done illegally with politicians using City funds for campaigning.
This smear campaign is put out by a person that lost their bid for City Council and her sidekick/puppet from Lake Elsinore Our Lady of Martyrs from Wildomar appears to be still crying over spilled milk 4 years later. Is the a case of the Old Lady crying wolf or does she have any facts to present? I have searched the internet and can find no facts to support her claims of wasting tax payer money or any wrong doings by elected officials. None…….

Some of the other sponsors of the event? Southern California Edison and CR & R. Harrah’s, De Jong’s and many others. Why are these companies not being accused of wasting ratepayer (CR & R and SCE) money on bad marketing?
That seems to me that would be a decent place to advertise for the city, they are in some pretty good company there.

My questions would be , do the citizen’s of Wildomar feel this was a waste of tax payer dollars and was the event used solely as a campaign ploy for the current City Council members and elected officials, or do they feel this was the Rotary Club and City coming together to bring the community together for good food in a relaxing atmosphere?
I would really like to hear from citizens of Wildomar and particularly those that were there…….
