Lake Elsinore Carwash To Raise Cash For Funeral Expenses
Friends of a Lake Elsinore man who recently passed will host a carwash Saturday at IHOP, 18248 Collier Ave, between 10 a.m. to about 4 p.m.
Cost is delaying a family from holding a funeral for a loved one, so friends are chipping in and are asking for the community's help.
Dean "Dino" Pederson, a 54-year-old Lake Elsinore resident, recently passed due to heart problems, according to family friend Mandee Jacobs, 30, of Lake Elsinore.
Friends of Pederson hosted a carwash on April 28 at the Lake Elsinore IHOP on 18248 Collier Avenue and will be doing so again on May 4 at the same location, between 10 a.m. to about 4 p.m., to raise funds to cover funeral expenses, Jacobs said.

“He was sick, not eating the best, you know, not eating the most healthiest [foods],” Jacobs said. “He felt really bad one day and he was laying in bed, his feet were purple.
“As he was laying there, he actually had four mild heart attacks,” she added.

Pederson was rushed to the hospital, but it was too late, according to Jacobs.
“He was doing okay, talked to him on the cell phone,” she said. “He was then put on life support ... he just went on his own.”
Lake Elsinore IHOP general manager Eleanor Gaubatz is more than happy to host the carwash this Saturday, she said.
“We do all kinds of fundraisers and carwashes are one of them,” Gaubatz said. “We are here for the community and that's what we are doing.
“My condolences ... anything we can do to make the process easier for them is absolutely fine with me.”
