Earthquake Strikes Near Corona

The quake was reported early Friday morning.

A small but shallow earthquake today rattled an area near the boundary between Riverside and Orange counties, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The magnitude-3.0 temblor struck just under the surface at 1:55 a.m., its epicenter 7 miles southwest of Corona and 9 miles east-northeast of Tustin, according to a USGS computer-generated report.

There are no reports of damage. --City News Service
