Sheriff’s Deputies To Don Aprons For Sake of Kids

Tips for waiters Wednesday night at Chili’s on Central Avenue will go toward children’s charity.

How serious is the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department about Cops for Kids?

They’re ready to wear aprons for the cause—again.

Deputies and Explorer Scouts will play the part of waiters and waitresses Wednesday night at the Marketplace Center Chili’s on Central Avenue.

Tips they get and silent auction revenues will support the nonprofit which benefits disadvantaged children in the city.

“This is one small way we as your law enforcement officials can help to bring happiness into the lives of children during the holidays,” said Capt. Shelley Kennedy-Smith.

The event is 6 to 9 p.m. at 29233 Central Ave. For more information on the twice-a-year Chili’s event and Cops for Kids, visit copsforkidsinc.org
