UPDATED: Vehicle Overturns on Ortega, One Hospitalized

A person is reportedly trapped.

UPDATE at 2:14 p.m.: At around 2 p.m., both lanes were open again. A patient was transferred to Mission Hospital.

A car has overturned on Ortega Highway near Caspers Wilderness Park just east of San Juan Capsitrano.

Park rangers have advised the California Highway Patrol that someone is trapped in the vehicle, according to the CHP call log.

The call first came in at 12:49 p.m. The log shows a single-car accident with the white car on its roof, blocking traffic.

Both lanes have closed.

with all the accidents perhaps it should be 25 MPH.

25 miles an hour is NOT the answer. I too, commute 5-6 days a week. Have you ever ridden a bicycle going very slow? That's what it is like driving that slow on Ortega.
