Wildomar Rotarians Sponsor Service Dog for Local Veteran

Scottie White, who will receive the dog, served in the Marines for 20 years.

The Rotary Club of Wildomar announced Wednesday that it will sponsor a service dog for a local veteran.

Chief Warrant Officer Scottie White, who will receive the dog, joined the Marines in 1988 and served for 20 years.

White said since his retirement, he suffers "both mentally and physically" and the service dog "will allow for an outlet of genuine assistance."

The Canine Support Teams will attend the Club's next meeting on Thursday, March 28 to talk more about White and the service dog. The public is invited to attend.

The Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Stadium Pizza, 32278 Clinton Keith Rd. in Wildomar.
