Winning Powerball Lottery Ticket Sold At Lake Elsinore Circle K

The ticket was the biggest winner in the state.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, for Wednesday night's multi-state Powerball lottery drawing was sold at a Circle K store in Lake Elsinore and is worth $347,092.

The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K located at 16331 Lakeshore Dr., according to lottery officials.

The ticket was the biggest winner in the state.

Two other tickets, one each sold in Indiana and New York, also had five numbers, but missed the Powerball number, and are each worth $1 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers and the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing is expected to grow to $152 million.

The numbers drawn tonight were 1, 2, 7, 9, 55 and the Mega number was 29. The estimated jackpot was $131 million.

The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 31.85.

The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
