Winning Powerball Lottery Ticket Sold At Lake Elsinore Circle K

The ticket was the biggest winner in the state.

A ticket with five numbers, but missing the Powerball number, for Wednesday night's multi-state Powerball lottery drawing was sold at a Circle K store in Lake Elsinore and is worth $347,092.

The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K located at 16331 Lakeshore Dr., according to lottery officials.

The ticket was the biggest winner in the state.

Two other tickets, one each sold in Indiana and New York, also had five numbers, but missed the Powerball number, and are each worth $1 million, the Multi-State Lottery Association, which conducts the game, announced.

California law requires major payoffs of lottery games to be paid on a pari-mutuel basis.

There were no tickets sold with all six numbers and the estimated jackpot for Saturday's drawing is expected to grow to $152 million.

The numbers drawn tonight were 1, 2, 7, 9, 55 and the Mega number was 29. The estimated jackpot was $131 million.

The drawing was the eighth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.

The odds of matching all five numbers and the Powerball number is 1 in 175,223,510, according to the Powerball website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 31.85.

The Powerball game is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

@Lake Elsinore Resident Is it your suggestion that only the "Meth Heads" play Power Ball in Lake Elsinore or are you suggesting that you personally know the winner and can vouch for their drug habits? Either way your comment is unnecessary. Seems odd to condemn your own living area.

From its name, Lake Elsinore sounds like it should be quite a nice place. Although, I'm in England and have no idea where it actually is. Meanwhile, if you're interested, I have my own little just-for-fun page which generates personal quick pick numbers. As I say, it is strictly just for fun, but you never know your luck! Look out for VillaLibra if you want to see if you can locate it.

To Lake Elsinore Resident.....I'm with Bigg C when it comes to your comment. Very unnecessary for you to say that. I suggests that you are a hater and jealous of the winner. Congrats to the Lake Elsinore Winner.....whatever you may be.

Why is the lake elsinore ticket worth 1/3 of the money? The other tickets were the same but they were worth 1 million.

Lake Elsinore resident your always so quick to condemn your own community. Is there a bad element in LE, yes, but what of all the good people, people who are just poor, or down on their luck. Try a little compassion, the majority of LE are great people, who aren't snobby or phony like a lot surrounding communities.

I'm bummed, I NEVER go to that particular Circle K, but frequent the others around the lake. There was a super lotto winner at the Circle K on Mission some years ago, the Albertsons on Riverside Dr had a 5/5 winner last year and a big winner at the Round Up in Wildomar...so it happens here often enough.

Funny how winners from 2 other states with the same numbers win 1,000,000 while the one in California gets 34.7 cents on the dollar Good ol California libereralism oh I mean Law.

@L.E. Resident.. move then, most who live, work and are productive residents are becoming tired of the constant negative comments about what is our community. Yes, there are meth heads, drunkards, partiers, and welfare fraud, gang bangers and everything else you find in EVERY city throughout the U.S. I relocated here in the late 1980's with my job from the Newport beach/Huntington Beach area, oh the comments, I will tell you that those two cities, like Elsinore have ALL OF THE SAME ISSUES, they are not published daily nor do their residents have fun sitting and complaining about their home town they work together to fix it and MOST HAVE CONTROLLED ARTICLE POSTING....All say that does not go on anymore but it does and most all cities do it. Elsinore chooses to keep their residents informed. I also noticed the time stamp on your post so that means two things, you do not work and sit there all day and either collect tax dollars to make undereducated comments or you are playing at work either way.....GROW UP! Yes, I am making my comment mid day, I am on a mini vacation, but trust me I work, many hours to provide for my own and most of everyone else's!

Lake Elsinore Resident is a moron and a hater, brags about being a Republican (that's the moronic part.)

Lake Elsinore Resident's asinine comment can easily be made into a positive. How you might ask? Pay close attention for I shall expound! If in fact the Lottery winner were a "meth head", for a time the money would keep him/her out of your home @3am; uninvited and seeking financing for the next fix with the sale of goods stolen from you. It would also allow the police additional time to buttress the charges and incarcerate this person before they do additional harm. Whatever moneys remain can be used to provide for any children involved. (I began this post with tongue firmly in cheek. But as I formulated my thoughts, Eureka, the idea began to take on a logic of its own....Damn! I may be onto something!!!) Its a win win for all concerned: for a time the doper lives the (super) high life, suspends his/her criminal life, gets arrested, leaves remaining lottery winnings to the scattered children they may have spawned, simultaneously taking them off public assistance. Alas, were it only this simple! Congratulations to the Lake Elsinore winner...wishing you many years of happy and prosperous living.

LER answer your own question. You seem to know so much about the drug & who is buying/selling it. GOD please help his pathetic soul!! Best thing you could ever do for yourself & all of us residents who love our city is move out since everything you have to say about LE is always soooo negative. Bye Bye!
