NFL Players Join Forces At Camp Pendleton

The Real Warriors Campaign and the NFL Players Association will discuss common reintegration challenges facing service members.

With the NFL playoffs on tap this weekend, a "Game Day" with former pro football players and military service members is scheduled Sunday at the Pacific Views South Mesa Club on Camp Pendleton.

The Real Warriors Campaign and the NFL Players Association will join together Sunday at the base to discuss common reintegration challenges facing service members, as well as the tools and resources available to address them.

During the event, former NFL players will join service members and their families to watch the playoff games, socialize and discuss the importance of reaching out for support during life transitions.

The Real Warriors Campaign is a multimedia public education campaign designed to encourage help-seeking behavior among service members and veterans with invisible wounds. The campaign is an initiative of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and traumatic Brain Injury.

Sunday's event is only open to service members.
