Liberty Quarry: Legislation Text Released

The legislation aims to block the proposed Liberty Quarry project from moving forward.

The text of the legislation that, if passed, would kill a proposed quarry project, has been released.

The legislation aims to block the proposed Liberty Quarry project from moving forward. The project, backed by Granite Construction, is proposed to be built on land just south of Temecula -- land that the Pechanga tribe calls sacred.

The bill, AB 742, is backed by the tribe, and if passed would prevent mining near sites considered sacred to Native Americans.
