Body Of Missing Rancho Cucamonga Man Recovered From Lake Elsinore

Nearly 72 hours after he went missing, the body of a Rancho Cucamonga man has been recovered from Lake Elsinore.

He was out fishing on the north end of Lake Elsinore with his wife, Julia, and two grown sons, Jeremy and Marc, when their boat went down around 1:45 p.m., according to Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Joshua Morales.

A good Samaritan boater rescued the woman and sons; all three were safe, but the father could not be found.

Speaking via email Tuesday from the Philippines, Johanne Villavicencio, Nunez’s niece, said her uncle was “a very strong man … a good man, a very good man,” who was “a very loving, caring, happy person.”
