Camp Pendleton Issues Live-Fire Advisory

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away, according to base officials.

Camp Pendleton artillery units are conducting live-fire training exercises into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas from 6 a.m. to midnight, July 17-22. 

Extended firing times are scheduled from midnight until 2 a.m., July 18-22. 

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away, according to base officials.
