Earthquake Rattles Southern California

A magnitude-3.0 earthquake struck the region Monday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Society is reporting.

The temblor was reported at 3:09 p.m. and was centered 16 miles east of Indio, according to the agency.

There are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
