Supervisor Buster Offering Internship Opportunity In Wildomar

Supervisor Bob Buster is encouraging low- to moderate-income college students to apply for the part-time position of legislative intern.

Local college students looking for work might consider this exceptionally unique career opportunity:

Riverside County 1st District Supervisor Bob Buster is encouraging low- to moderate-income college students to apply for the part-time position of legislative intern in the supervisor’s office for a period of up to two years.

Splitting time between the supervisor's Wildomar headquarters and his Riverside office, the legislative intern will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of how county government operates.

The intern will coordinate and oversee the 1st District Youth Advisory Council, which is made up of high school students from within the district. The youth council provides local students with access to the Supervisor and a forum for addressing topics of concern and interest while participating in community service projects.

“Our legislative interns have always proven themselves to be of tremendous value to this office and the constituents of the 1st District,” the Supervisor Buster said. “They bring a fresh perspective and high level of interest to county government and a strong commitment to their communities and mentoring our local youth.”

Qualified applicants must reside in the 1st District, be between the ages of 19-24 and working on an undergraduate major in Political Science, Government or Business. They must possess and have the ability to maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average while working 20 hours a week.  Interested candidates must meet the low- to moderate-income eligibility to qualify for the position.
