TRAVEL ADVISORY: Wet Weather Continues

Today's advisory in one in a string of bulletins issued by the National Weather Service in recent days as monsoonal moisture continues to linger over Southern California and Mexico.

It’s yet another day of “weather” in Southern California.

According to the National Weather Service, a flood advisory was issued at 3:31 p.m. for Santa Rosa Mountain in Riverside County and the Coachella Valley.

“At 3:30 p.m., Doppler radar indicated isolated thunderstorms forming in the area of Santa Rosa Mountain. These storms are routinely forming over the same area. No one storm is producing enough rainfall for significant flooding, however, the accumulation from all the storms together can result in flows in normally dry washes and across roadways,” the National Weather Service is advising.

Locations most impacted include Santa Rosa Mountain, Bermuda Dunes, Indian Wells, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Desert Country, and Rancho Mirage.
