Although it was interrupted by, Winterfest 2011 was hit as over 1,000 people showed up in downtown Lake Elsinore Friday night to celebrate the holiday season.

The city-sponsored Winterfest street party saw a visit with Santa, a holiday tree, sled runs on real snow, craft vendors, food, family entertainment, a petting zoo, and holiday shopping!

Main Street was closed from Heald Avenue to City Park for the citywide event that was scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
