Winterfest 2011 Brings Over 1,000 To Lake Elsinore

The event was held in historic downtown Lake Elsinore along Main Street.

Although it was interrupted by, Winterfest 2011 was hit as over 1,000 people showed up in downtown Lake Elsinore Friday night to celebrate the holiday season.

The city-sponsored Winterfest street party saw a visit with Santa, a holiday tree, sled runs on real snow, craft vendors, food, family entertainment, a petting zoo, and holiday shopping!

Main Street was closed from Heald Avenue to City Park for the citywide event that was scheduled from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

We went around 7 and it was not that great lol, I think we missed half of everything but we made it in time for the fire

Mountainside Ministries petting zoo was AWESOME! It was a great addition to Winterfest. I was so glad to have some hot chocolate and have my kids play the games and see the animals. My kids really loved the horses and bunnies! Oh! And the puppet show...SO CUTE!!

I think they needed more vendors, there were a lot of empty spots
