WILDOMAR HAS A NEED

The City of Wildomar needs a central clearing house for people to donate and a City of Wildomar Community Fund or Foundation would fit the bill. 
“Community foundations (CFs) are instruments of civil society designed to pool donations into a coordinated investment and grant making facility dedicated primarily to the social improvement of a given place. Community foundations are a global phenomenon with 1400 existing around the world of which over 700 are in the United States. (Wikipedia Community foundation)”
Many times people are looking for places to donate time, money or both to a worthy local cause and find it difficult to locate a suitable charity or project due to information overload on the internet about causes, the difficulty of organizations to reach out to the public because of a lack of staff to pursue interested donors. There are also people who if there was such a place would leave donations in their wills for endowments of money, land or items to their favorite local cause. Donations could also be made by local businesses and developers as a way to give back to the local areas over and above the mandates placed on them with the assurance that their donation would be tax-deductible.
Many cities have established a Community Fund or Foundation to make it easy to donate to a single place for donations to parks, trails, dog parks, libraries, historical societies, food banks, city beautification programs, arts programs etc the list is endless.
