Proud Mom Shares Son's Path From Lakeside High School To U.S. Air Force

Helen Davis shares a proud moment in her son's military career.

The following contribution is from a proud mom:

Airman Jason Davis graduated Aug. 31 from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

The Airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Davis’s flight earned the distinction of BEAST excellence and was chosen to carry not only our nations’ flag but also all 50 states flags during their graduation ceremony, which is considered an honor.

In addition, Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Davis is enrolled in a training program at Sheppard AFB to learn the technical skills needed for his new career in the US Air Force. He is the son of proud parent Helen Davis of Lake Elsinore, CA. He is also a 2012 graduate of Lakeside High School.
