I've driven Knabe Ave, just across the freeway from there and people drive like drunken banshees on crack there. I typically drive the speed limit of maybe up to 5mph over and I usually have people blasting past me at twice that speed. We need to reinstitute driver ed in the schools and require undocumented residents to have drivers licenses or take their cars away. No license - no car.

I agree Rev. And the licensed drivers seem very inattentive these days. They do not understand "right of way" at stop signs.....at least I think they are licensed?

I hear you on that. Lots of times I'll stop and the other driver has the right of way but they just look at me with a blank stare like they're waiting for me to figure out who goes first. Other times, they roll through a stop like they have tunnel-vision and can't see any traffic or cars that got to the intersection before them at all. I had a front row seat to a two car collision in front of Staters on Lakeshore and a dog getting run over. Both times I could see what was going to happen 5 seconds before it happened. And the drivers involved could have too. But in both instances I recall looking at the faces of the drivers and seeing that same blank, straight-ahead stare oblivious to approaching danger or animals (or people) in the path of their vehicle. You don't have to be drunk to be a really bad driver. But drinking makes everyone a bad driver.

I called California Highway patrol 2 times to help with traffic and they ignored calls - I sat in car about 100 yards south of accident - and it took 90 minutes to drive 2 miles? South to the 15 by Carl jr. They allowed north bound traffic on TCR, no CHP or local police to help with traffic. Just Poor performance!

not that this was related to a drunk or unlicensed driver but, yea ! no tickee no laundry. they speed up the road like their own their own raceway.. ! we have to pay for all the stuff to be legal .. how is it they can bitch about having their cars impounded when they dont.... ?

Teller of the truth needs to come up with a better line than that. Proves you are just another jackass that has nothing relevant to say.
