15 Freeway Open After Pedestrian Fatality

CHP reports all lanes on northbound I-15 are open following overnight fatality.

Traffic on the northbound 15 Freeway in the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar area is being allowed through after on the busy interstate early this morning.

The man, was struck several times on the freeway one mile south of the Railroad Canyon Road exit.

It is unclear why the man was walking on the freeway. He was carrying a Nintendo Wii and a case of beer.

Debris and body parts were strewn across the freeway.

CHP reports that all lanes were re-opened by 10:10 a.m.

Traffic was rerouted onto the Bundy Canyon Road exit and electronic signs on the 15 Freeway as far south as Rainbow are advising motorists of the closure. Travelers are being asked to avoid the northbound 15 through the Temecula and Elsinore valleys.
