16 Of 23 Local Sex Offenders Out Of Compliance During Recent Police Check

A check by sheriff’s deputies of 23 sex offenders living in Menifee, Perris and the surrounding unincorporated areas found 16 were not in compliance with their registration.

The check on the registered offenders was conducted Nov. 13 by investigators from the Perris Sheriff’s Station.

“The purpose of the sweep was to ensure that convicted sex offenders were in compliance with the law mandating they register their home address with local law enforcement,” the station reported in a news release.

According to the release, the 16 registrants were not living at their registered addresses so warrants have been issued for their arrests. The names of the 16 offenders were not released, however to view a map of sex offenders living in the local community, click here.
