2 Weeks Later, Alzheimer's Patient Still Missing

Police say Ricardo Nava-Alamo disappeared after driving off in a purple, four-door 1997 Honda Accord with California license plate number 3TUE345.

A 62-year-old Moreno Valley man, afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease, drove off in a Honda sedan earlier this month and is still missing, according to a sheriff's sergeant.

On Jan. 6, relatives of Ricardo Nava-Alamo told sheriff's deputies he had left his Cottonwood Avenue home in a purple, four-door 1997 Honda Accord. A search that included a helicopter failed to locate Nava-Alamo, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Donovan Brooks said.

Nava-Alamo is in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's, and considered to be at risk. He has grey hair, brown eyes and a grey mustache. He stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs about 180 pounds, and was last seen wearing a blue sweater over a V-neck shirt, Brooks said.
