Air Gun Robbers Who Held Up Circle K Arrested

Three robbers using air soft guns stormed into a Circle K convenience store early today in Perris, took cash and were later arrested, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputies received a dispatch about the armed robbery at 3:17 a.m. and went to 3150 Case Road where the men, identified as Keon O'Neal Wooten, 28, of Moreno Valley; Kenneth Daniels, Jr., 27, of Banning; and Henry Jay Wilson, 24, of Moreno Valley, allegedly held-up the business, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. D. Payne said.

Payne did not give his full name even though it is public record.

The store clerk told deputies that one of the men was seen carrying what looked like a handgun when he and two other suspects entered the business.

They ran off with an undisclosed amount of money, cigarettes and Scratcher lottery tickets, and entered a Dodge Neon when they fled, Payne said.

A sheriff's deputy spotted the compact car and tried pulling the driver over and a chase ensued.

The Neon crashed into a metal gate at 11th Street and Park Avenue and two suspects fled on foot but were caught.

The third suspect was seen walking on Case Road and arrested, Payne said.

All the property including the cash was recovered from the car, including two air soft replica handguns, Payne said. --City News Service
