An investigation was underway Saturday into the death of a 49-year-old man whose body was found in an underground drainage canal in Perris.
The body of Steven Marks of Hemet was found in the canal 1,090 feet west of the intersection of Perris Boulevard and Hart Lane, according to an announcement today by the Riverside County coroner's office.
It was unclear when the body was found or how it was discovered.
