Crash Causes 2-Acre Fire On I-15

The incident involved a two-vehicle traffic collision with fire, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

Two acres burned and one person was transported to the hospital due to a crash at Indian Truck Trail and the northbound 15 Freeway near Lake Elsinore.

The incident, which was reported at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday, involved a two-vehicle traffic collision with fire, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

One crash victim was injured, but Hendrickson said there was no word on the patient's condition.

A fire caused by the crash quickly spread to nearby vegetation. It was contained by 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Hendrickson said.
