Lake Elsinore Man Followed, Collared on DUI Suspicion
Lake Elsinore resident booked for alleged drunken driving after leading cops on a slow-speed chase for three miles.
A Lake Elsinore resident who led sheriff's deputies on a slow-speed chase Saturday was booked for alleged drunken driving.
Nahum Vazquez, 29, was arrested for alleged DUI after he apparently failed a field sobriety test.
Sheriff's Deputy Paul Verostek initially tried to stop the suspect's Ford Expedition at Grand Avenue and Corydon Street about 9:45 p.m.
When the suspect failed to yield, Verostek followed him for about three miles, running his lights but no siren, Patch learned.

The suspect finally pulled over when the deputy used his siren, just before Baldwin Boulevard, and the deputy examined him for drunkeness.
"Based on the field sobriety test. We have reason to believe he has been drinking," Verostek said.
