Four Men Confess To Stealing From Lake Elsinore Construction Site

Steven Lewis, 46, Keith Lewis, 51, Robert Mock, 51, and Alfred Akens, 52, remain jailed on various felony charges.

Four Perris men have reportedly confessed to stealing construction materials at a work site in Lake Elsinore, and sheriff's deputies said today that a nearby video camera led to the arrests.

Steven Lewis, 46, and Keith Lewis, 51, were videorecorded stealing electrical wiring and other building supplies, deputies said.

The pictures showed a red Toyota pickup truck and a white Ford flatbed truck, clues that led officers to a residence in the 27000 block of Highway 74 in Perris.

There, deputies found Alfred Akens, 52, and reportedly discovered more than a gram of methamphetamine, said sheriff's Sgt. Tony Hoxmeier.

Deputies believe he was part of the ring. And when the deputies returned to the scene of the thefts, deputies found a fourth suspect, Robert Mock, 51, inside a residence, stripping its copper wiring, Hoxmeier said.
