Hiker Injured Near Cleveland National Forest

A report on the incident was made to Cal Fire at 12:02 p.m. today.

A Cal Fire chopper is enroute Wednesday afternoon to rescue an injured hiker at the Cleveland National Forest boundary.

Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jody Hagemann is reporting that the chopper is needed to hoist the injured man from his location just west of Skyline Drive in unincorporated area north of Lake Elsinore.

The man is expected to be transported to a hospital via Mercy Air, Hagemann reported.

The man’s identity is being withheld. Hagemann described him as a “young adult male.”
