Juvenile Hit By Truck After Running Onto Langstaff Street

The young pedestrian was injured after running between parked cars and into the street.

A juvenile suffered major injuries after being hit by a truck on Langstaff Street near Pottery Street Friday evening, according to Lake Elsinore police. The juvenile’s injuries are not considered life threatening, authorities said.

Around 6:30 p.m., the young pedestrian ran between two parked vehicles and onto Langstaff Street in the path of the northbound truck, according to Sgt. David Cardoza. The juvenile and truck collided, sending the juvenile onto the street.

The driver of the truck stopped and is cooperating, police said.

The juvenile was taken to a hospital. No additional information about the juvenile was released.

The intersection of Langstaff and Pottery streets was closed for several hours as investigators and medical personnel worked at the scene.
