Lake Elsinore Businessman Accused of Swindling $50K from Customers

Did you do business with this man? Investigators are seeking more victims.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department Detective Bureau concluded a three-year-long fraud investigation. At the conclusion of this investigation, Duy Nguyen was arrested for stealing over $50,000 from 16 victims in California and Hawaii. At the time of the fraud, Nguyen operated a business named First Universal Solutions in the city of Lake Elsinore. Nguyen is a 34-year-old resident of Garden Grove, and was ultimately booked into the Southwest Detention Center on 16 counts of grand theft.

Nguyen faces similar charges in Orange County, where 50 additional victims were identified. Agents from the United States Treasury Department and United States Postal Service were instrumental in the successful investigation of all these crimes. The Lake Elsinore Police Department Department would like to thank these agents for all their help and support.

The Lake Elsinore Police Department continues to investigate Nguyen and his fraudulent company (First Universal Solutions).
