Lake Elsinore, Wildomar See Little Change In Admin Fire Costs

Lake Elsinore will pay slightly more for fire administrative and support services while Wildomar will pay a little less based on a cost-distribution plan accepted by the Riverside County Board of Supervisors today.

The costs are separate from those incurred under fire services agreements signed with each city. Both cities contract with the Riverside County Fire Department for services.

The county and cities are dividing a budgeted $32.5 million in administrative and support costs for fiscal year 2011/12, and today’s plan provided cost variances.

During the 2011-12 fiscal year, Lake Elsinore will see a 0.13 percent increase, or $1,087, under the cost-distribution plan; Wildomar will see a 1.14 percent reduction, or ($5,493).
