Man Who Showed Up At Buck Fire Evacuation Center Arrested For Assault With Deadly Weapon

During the fire activity, Gregory Good turned up at the evacuation center in tears claiming he had lost his trailer home and dogs in the fire.

A Sage man was arrested on suspicion of interfering with firefighters during the Buck Fire, a Riverside County fire official announced Friday.

Gregory Lance Good, 59, was arrested Tuesday and booked at the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta for assault with a deadly weapon against a firefighter and interfering with a firefighter in the line of duty, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department.

He was arrested near a Red Cross evacuation center that was set up at the Temecula Community Center on Rancho Vista Road, arrest records indicated.

Good was being held on $30,000 bail as of Friday, according to sheriff's jail records. Court records show he is due to appear Aug. 23.

Court records also show that Good was convicted in 2010 on a charge of petty theft.
