Motorcycle Chase On 15 Freeway Ends In Arrest

A motorcyclist led the California Highway Patrol on a chase from Riverside to Lake Mathews Monday night before being taken into custody.

The chase began about 8:20 p.m. in Riverside when officers attempted to pull the motorcyclist over for a traffic infraction at Magnolia Avenue and Pierce Street, but the motorcyclist took off.

The chase went on streets and southbound Interstate 15 in Corona, and later Lake Mathews.

A CHP vehicle was riding on top of the motorcyclist, separated by only a car's length or so.

The motorcyclist almost crashed into another vehicle. In Corona, the motorcyclist drove through a shopping mall parking lot. --City News Service
