Officers allegedly discovered a Lake Elsinore man with heroin and methamphetamine.

Deputies in San Juan Capistrano arrested Tuesday night a Lake Elsinore man on suspicion of possessing heroin and methamphetamine, a felony.

At about 8:10 p.m., deputies noticed Tyler Monroe McCoy, 48, sitting in his truck at the Shell station near the I-5 interchange on Ortega Highway.

“They observed McCoy in the driver’s seat smoking something off of a piece of foil with an object similar to a straw,” according to Lt. John Meyer, the chief of police services for San Juan Capistrano.
