One Hospitalized, One Arrested in Lake Elsinore Crash

A person who tried to flee the scene of a crash in Lake Elsinore Tuesday afternoon was caught and arrested, sheriff's officials tell Patch.

Sheriff's Spokesman Deputy Armando Munoz says the crash on Corydon Road, south of Mission Trial was reported around 3:15 p.m.

"He tried to run away, but they caught him," Munoz told Patch of the person believed to be responsible for the crash.

Before that person was caught, though, another person was taken to the hospital, he said.  Photos from the scene show an older model blue Honda sedan with major front-end damage.

The identity of the person who was arrested was not immediately available, nor were details surrounding the collision.

Traffic in the area was slowed for a short time when crews cleared the wreckage, but the road was cleared by 4 p.m., according to Munoz.
