CHP has since updated and is reporting three of the passengers and Parada sustained minor injuries.

Approximately one minute after the crash, a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, heading east and driven by Jose Balandran of Wildomar, collided with the truck wreckage, which was blocking both lanes of traffic, according to the CHP report.

Balandran was not injured as a result of this collision, the CHP report stated.

“At this time alcohol does not seem to be a factor in these collisions, however the investigations are ongoing,” the CHP report stated.
