A parolee was arrested for his alleged connection to a carjacking in Perris, authorities said Wednesday.
Sheriff's deputies were first dispatched at 9:12 p.m. Tuesday to a location on Windward Court about shots fired. The deputies then received a second call about a carjacking in the 1400 block of Apple Creek Drive, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Sam Morovich said.
Deputies later identified Adrian Victor Partida, 38, of Perris, as a suspect and arrested him at his home on Clearwater Drive, more than two miles from where the alleged carjacking happened.
Partida was booked on suspicion of carjacking, shooting at an inhabited building, willful harm to a child and violating his parole. He remained in custody Wednesday without bail, records showed.
