Police Arrest Man Suspected Of Killing Woman, Setting House On Fire

David James Lillard, 51, of Sun City was arrested early Friday morning in the 27300 block of Presley Street in Perris, according to jail records.

An announcement by police came today that a man suspected of killing a Hemet woman and setting a mobile home on fire east of Lake Elsinore has been arrested.

David James Lillard, 51, of Sun City was arrested early Friday morning in the 27300 block of Presley Street in Perris, according to jail records. Lillard’s being held on suspicion of murder, arson, and a parole violation, the records show.

He's suspected of killing Autumn Kissinger, 50. Her body was discovered in a mobile home fire Thursday morning off Highway 74, according to the Riverside County Coroner's Office.

The fire was reported about 8:45 a.m. Thursday in the 33000 block of El Centro Avenue, east of Lake Elsinore, according to the Riverside Sheriff's Department.

Deputies from the Perris station were called to assist Cal Fire regarding the blaze and the woman's body was discovered inside the home as firefighters extinguished the flames, according to the sheriff's department.

The case is being treated as a homicide, although Kissinger’s cause and time of death have not been announced by authorities.

Lillard is the only suspect in the case, according to today’s announcement. No bail has been set for Lillard, who is due in court Sept. 10, jail records show.

It's unclear what the relationship was between Kissinger and Lillard.
