Resident Hit By Car; Police Seek Leads

Leroy Bagley was crossing Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore from Jack in the Box around 9:40 p.m. when a silver compact car traveling north on the busy roadway hit him.

Police are asking the public’s help in finding a hit-and-run driver who struck a Lake Elsinore resident Thursday night.

Leroy Bagley was crossing Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore from Jack in the Box around 9:40 p.m. when a silver compact car traveling north on the busy roadway hit him.

The car initially stopped at the scene, but later fled leaving no contact information, police reported.

Bagley was treated at Inland Valley Hospital for a broken ankle and abrasions.

Based on evidence, police say the car is possibly a 2001 Honda Civic.
